West Midlands Police have launched a public appeal for information following a serious shooting in Sutton Coldfield in late January. The incident left a man in his 20s in critical condition, while a woman sustained minor injuries.
The shooting occurred on Mount View just before 11:30 p.m. on January 31. Since then, two Birmingham men have been charged with attempted murder and are currently in custody.
In the course of their investigations, police released CCTV footage showing a group of individuals riding bikes in Sutton Coldfield town centre shortly before the shooting. Authorities believe these bikers, seen traveling from the Castle Vale area, are connected to the crime.

Detective Inspector Francis Nock, who is leading the inquiry, urged the public to come forward with any information regarding the bikes or the riders. “We want to hear from anyone who recognizes the bikes, knows who has access to them, or has seen their whereabouts since the shooting,” he said.
Residents with relevant information can contact West Midlands Police via phone at 101, quoting incident number 20/132275/26.
This appeal highlights the ongoing efforts by police to track down those involved and bring them to justice, while the community remains concerned about the violent event and its aftermath.
