A former ambulance depot adjacent to Junction 10 in Walsall is set to be transformed into an eight-bedroom House of Multiple Occupation (HMO), according to recent planning applications.
Jubilee House on Bloxwich Lane, initially built as an ambulance station and later repurposed as offices for the Walsall Clinical Commissioning Group, has been vacant for some time. Ad Hoc Property Management Ltd, the applicant, describes the proposed change as a temporary measure aimed at enhancing security and preventing the site from becoming a hotspot for antisocial behaviour.
Importantly, the plans do not involve any structural modifications to the building. If approved by Walsall Council, the property will accommodate eight individual living units, featuring two kitchens, five toilets, and one shower area.

Current tenants, Property Gardens, hold a monthly rolling licence agreement, allowing the landlord to reclaim the property with 31 days' notice.
Ad Hoc Property Management explained, “The use of an HMO is intended to safeguard the building’s condition, deter antisocial behaviour in the neighbourhood, and provide affordable temporary accommodation.”
Walsall Council is expected to make a decision on the application by August 5, 2026.
