PayPal has introduced a new Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) service for UK customers called Pay in 30 Days. Starting Tuesday, July 14, shoppers can make purchases between £1 and £900 and pay the full amount up to 30 days later, offering unprecedented flexibility at checkout.
Tamer El-Emary, PayPal’s UK general manager, emphasized the growing demand for flexible, trustworthy payment options. “British customers are smart,” he said. “They want the flexibility to pay on their terms, but they’re also more discerning than ever about who they trust with their money.”
Building on the success of PayPal’s existing Pay in 3 service, this new option provides zero fees and payment control within a 30-day window, allowing customers to time payments alongside their payday or bill schedules.

The launch coincides with new BNPL regulations coming into effect across the UK, underscoring the increasing importance of transparency and trust in this growing sector. PayPal believes that trusted brands like theirs will become even more crucial as consumers seek reliable payment alternatives.
Merchant benefits include simplified checkout options that cater to customer payment preferences without added complexity. According to PayPal’s research, offering flexible payment choices is a key competitive advantage for businesses.
As the BNPL market evolves under Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulation, PayPal’s Pay in 30 Days aims to meet customer demand for secure, flexible, and familiar payment experiences.
