Kelly Osbourne has opened up about a touching moment with her father, Ozzy Osbourne, in the aftermath of his iconic Back To The Beginning concert on July 5, 2025, at Villa Park Stadium.
The legendary Black Sabbath frontman delivered two unforgettable performances that day—a solo act followed by a reunion with the original Black Sabbath lineup. These were his final live shows, capping off a career that touched millions. The event drew 40,000 fans and featured supporting acts such as Metallica, Slayer, and Anthrax. Adding to the family milestone, Kelly also became engaged to Sid Wilson in front of their loved ones that evening.
After such an intense day, Kelly revealed that Ozzy quietly confessed to her mother, Sharon, upon getting into bed, “I had no idea how much people really loved me.” Despite decades in the spotlight, Ozzy remained deeply humble about the vastness of his influence.

Reflecting on this vulnerability, Kelly told BirminghamLive that if Ozzy could see the Book of Remembrance she accepted on his behalf from the Lord Mayor on his 77th birthday—filled with thousands of heartfelt messages—he simply wouldn’t believe it.
Kelly attributes her father’s modesty in part to a distinctly Brummie trait, contrasting it with the self-assured attitude she observes in places like Los Angeles. Though Ozzy lived much of his later life in LA, he was born and raised in Aston, Birmingham, and remained fiercely connected to his roots.
Following his passing, Ozzy was laid to rest at the family home in Buckinghamshire. His funeral procession took a poignant route through Broad Street to Black Sabbath Bridge, a public tribute funded by the Osbourne family to honor his legacy.
“Birmingham meant everything to my dad, and it means just as much to us,” Kelly said. “He never forgot where he came from.”
She described returning to Villa Park as a bittersweet experience. “The sweetness is in creating new memories, but the bitterness is remembering that he’s no longer here,” she reflected.
Kelly also shared how witnessing the empty stadium—grass still on the pitch without the stage—brought back the powerful emotions of that magical day. “To anyone who was there or who watched it online, it was a miracle to witness.”
The Back To The Beginning concert remains a lasting testament to Ozzy Osbourne’s monumental impact on music and on the city he loved so dearly.
