OVO is rolling out a series of community events across the UK aimed at helping households save up to £360 annually on their energy bills. These gatherings form part of Warm Welcome Week, an initiative designed to support vulnerable families during challenging times.
As part of its £56 million Extra Support Package, OVO will offer free energy-saving advice and distribute products such as electric blankets, energy-efficient light bulbs, and solar battery banks to eligible residents. These practical tools and expert guidance can significantly reduce energy consumption, translating into meaningful savings for families.
Steven Donovan, Customer Vulnerability Lead at OVO, emphasized the importance of the initiative: “Warm Welcome Week goes beyond providing a warm space—it fosters genuine human connections and delivers essential support that many might be unaware of. OVO is proud to support this mission and continues to urge the government to introduce a social tariff to protect those struggling with rising energy costs.”

David Barclay, Warm Welcome Campaign Director, highlighted the need for such programs: “January is often the coldest and darkest month, and too many people face the heartbreaking choice between heating and eating. OVO’s generous support helps raise awareness, connects communities, and reaches those most in need.”
The campaign invites the public to participate during Warm Welcome Week, encouraging more community spaces to become Warm Welcome Spaces where people can find warmth and companionship.
