Opening Date Confirmed for New Rudy’s Pizzeria in Sutton Coldfield

The eagerly awaited Rudy’s pizzeria in Sutton Coldfield is set to open its doors soon, bringing a fresh dining experience to Birmingham Road. Located in the former Built Unique Co gym at the corner of Manhor Hill, the new Rudy’s will launch with a special charity night on Saturday, March 21, welcoming customers by reservation.

Spanning 3,360 square feet over two floors with a mezzanine, the stylish venue offers seating for 100 guests indoors plus 32 more outside. Rudy’s promises to deliver its signature minimalist design and relaxed atmosphere, inviting pizza enthusiasts to enjoy authentic Neapolitan flavours seven days a week.

The menu features traditional Neapolitan pizzas certified by the Association of True Neapolitan Pizza (AVPN). Each pizza is crafted with fresh daily dough that’s double fermented for 24 hours, using the celebrated “Holy Trinity” ingredients: 00 Caputo flour, Fior di Latte—the world’s creamiest mozzarella—San Marzano tomatoes, and cooked rapidly in traditional ovens, producing a perfect pizza in just 60 seconds.

To celebrate the opening, Rudy’s is giving away thousands of free pizzas to early sign-ups, adding to the excitement ahead of the grand launch.

The inaugural charity night supports Erdington Foodbank, with Rudy’s staff showcasing their skills between 5pm and 8pm. Proceeds from the evening, including raffle funds, will benefit the charity.

From Sunday, March 22, the restaurant fully opens to the public, welcoming bookings for its extensive menu. Patrons can also enjoy a wide selection of beverages, featuring iconic Italian spritzes, locally brewed lagers, and classic stirred cocktails like mango margaritas and limoncello spritzes—perfect companions for Rudy’s pizzas.

Since its founding in 2015, Rudy’s has expanded from a single Manchester location to over 37 pizzerias nationwide. Sutton Coldfield marks Rudy’s fourth Birmingham venue, joining outlets in Bennetts Hill, Brindleyplace, and Harborne, and the fifth in the West Midlands region alongside their Leamington Spa site.

The new opening has created 20 jobs across kitchen, front of house, and management roles, boosting local employment.

Neal Bates of Rudy’s Pizza Napoletana expressed enthusiasm: “We’re incredibly excited to bring Rudy’s to Sutton Coldfield. Our team is passionate about delivering the most authentic Neapolitan pizza, and we look forward to sharing the distinct flavours that have made Rudy’s a national favourite.”

Rudy’s Sutton Coldfield joins established local pizzerias like Pizza by Goli, Pizza Express, and the recent newcomer Caspian, promising a vibrant pizza scene on Birmingham Road.

Bookings went live on March 10, with opening hours from 11:45am (seating from noon) daily. The restaurant stays open until 10pm Sunday through Thursday, and until 10:30pm on Fridays and Saturdays, offering ample opportunity to indulge in its acclaimed offerings.
