Octopus Energy Launches Pink Friday with Daily Freebies and Prizes

Octopus Energy is shaking up the traditional Black Friday frenzy with its new Pink Friday event, offering customers a chance to enjoy daily free treats and exciting prizes ahead of the festive season. Instead of encouraging unnecessary spending, Pink Friday focuses on giving back, turning the week into a nationwide celebration of savings and fun.

From November 24 to 28, Octopus Energy’s ‘Octoplus’ members can participate in daily giveaways through the energy supplier’s app. Highlights include free Greggs sausage rolls or savory items, thousands of boxes of Constantine Chocolates, and up to two complimentary cinema tickets per customer courtesy of ODEON Movie Night. Additional perks include 10,000 plush toys on the Thursday “Plushie Takeover” and £8 off UberEats on Friday for a perfect Friday night takeaway. The savings continue into Cyber Monday, with £8 dishes at Ask Italian.

Adding extra excitement, customers can enter a daily prize draw to win one of two electric cars from Octopus’s sister company, Octopus Electric Vehicles. The grand prizes are the Jaecoo J5 Pure and the OMODA E5 Noble. Winners will be announced on November 28 and must correctly answer a simple question to claim their prize.

Rebecca Dibb-Simkin, Chief Marketing and Product Officer at Octopus Energy, explains the inspiration behind Pink Friday: “Black Friday often pushes people to buy things they don’t need. We wanted to flip the script by giving away thousands of things people will genuinely enjoy for free. Pink Friday is about fun, fairness, and redefining consumerism.”

To join in, customers simply open the Octopus Energy app and tap the ‘Octoplus’ button daily to claim their treats before they disappear. Octopus Energy’s Pink Friday runs from November 24 through December 2, inviting customers to celebrate savings and joy instead of rush and waste.
