A tragic incident has unfolded in Weston-super-Mare, where a nine-year-old girl was found dead inside a home on Lime Close. The discovery was made shortly after 6 pm on Monday, December 15, when paramedics alerted the police. Despite emergency efforts, the young girl was pronounced dead at the scene.
Avon and Somerset Police have arrested a teenage boy on suspicion of murder in connection with the case. Superintendent Jen Appleford expressed deep sorrow over the incident, acknowledging the widespread shock felt throughout the community.
