The charts highlight a vast purple zone, signaling heavy snow accumulation. Forecasters predict that key regions, including John O’Groats, Sussex, the South West, Midlands, North East, and North West England, will experience significant snow. Wales and eastern England areas such as Norfolk and Suffolk are also forecast to receive flurries.

Leading into the snow event, the forecast for January 31 indicates cloudy conditions with rain in the north and some sunny spells in the south, accompanied by breezy to windy weather, particularly in the northeast. The outlook for Sunday through Tuesday suggests cloudy days with patchy rain, showers, and hill snow, and continuing cold and breezy weather on Tuesday.

This snow bomb underscores an intense cold spell and widespread wintry conditions for Britain, signaling a challenging start to February.
