A vibrant new splash pad has opened its gates at Lido Park in Droitwich Spa, offering a delightful wildlife-themed water play experience for children and families. Located just 40 minutes from Birmingham, this £550,000 facility is designed to spark imagination and provide hours of watery fun.
Named ‘Saltwich Splash,’ the attraction reflects Droitwich Spa’s heritage and local wildlife, featuring charming details like a wooden entrance sign and colorful images of frogs, bees, squirrels, and otters throughout the area. Positioned beside the tennis courts and near the popular outdoor pool, the splash pad delivers a variety of interactive water features including sprays, green arches, a tipper bucket, boulders, and a gently sloping water run accessible via a ramp.
Children can also enjoy on-site games such as noughts and crosses, making the park an engaging play destination. The design incorporates thoughtful seating areas to ensure the space is welcoming and accessible to all visitors.

This splash pad is the latest upgrade by Wychavon District Council, completing a series of water play enhancements following recent openings in Pershore and Evesham. The older facilities were replaced to reduce maintenance costs and provide a modern, safe environment.
Saltwich Splash is open daily from 10am to 6pm until September. Visitors can also take advantage of the on-site café, Little Al’s, and several picnic spots, perfect for a family day out.
For those driving from Birmingham, the park is easily reachable via the M5 motorway, with available parking on site. Alternatively, a scenic train journey from Birmingham Snow Hill Station brings you to Droitwich Spa station, just a 15-minute walk from the park.
