New Traditional Irish Pub Éimear’s Set to Open on Birmingham’s Broad Street

Excitement is building as Éimear’s, a traditional Irish pub, prepares to open its doors on Broad Street, Birmingham, on Friday, May 29. Situated in the former Players nightclub, this new venue joins the vibrant scene alongside its famous sister bar, Snobs, a legendary Birmingham club that moved to Broad Street earlier this year.

Owned by Wayne Tracey, Éimear’s is a heartfelt tribute to his family and the city’s Irish community. Named after his daughter Éimear, the pub celebrates Irish heritage and the strong sense of community that Wayne grew up with in Birmingham.

“Éimear’s will be a traditional Irish pub in the heart of Birmingham, proudly owned and operated by an Irish family,” said Wayne. “It’s a homage to my wife, my late father, and the pride we have in our Irish roots. We want it to be a welcoming home from home for Birmingham’s Irish community as well as anyone who appreciates good craic, live music, and genuine Irish hospitality.”

The pub promises a lively atmosphere, with regular live music throughout the week and major sporting events broadcast on big screens, including GAA, football, and rugby.

The opening of Éimear’s is a welcome revival for the Broad Street nightlife scene following the closure of Players in 2022. Along with Snobs, Éimear’s is part of a family of venues owned by Wayne Tracey, including the sunny Victoria Square bar Theatrix, the trendy Henman & Cooper, and Sobar at the Arcadian.

Sláinte to a new chapter in Birmingham’s Irish hospitality!
