Nestlé is celebrating Yorkie’s 50th anniversary by launching an exciting new flavour in the UK: the Salted Caramel Pretzel Yorkie bar. This innovative twist blends indulgent salted caramel chocolate with crunchy pretzel pieces, offering a delightful sweet-and-salty experience in the iconic chunky Yorkie format.
Rachel Beaufoy, Marketing Manager for Nestlé Confectionery, highlights, “Yorkie fans appreciate a chocolate bar with substance, and our Salted Caramel Pretzel Duo delivers just that. The smooth caramel combined with milk chocolate and crunchy pretzels adds an exciting texture without straying from Yorkie’s signature style.”
Available in supermarkets this week, the duration of the Salted Caramel Pretzel Yorkie’s presence on shelves remains uncertain, prompting fans to grab this limited-time treat while they can.

This launch coincides with Nestlé’s announcement to discontinue two beloved chocolate bars: Breakaway and Yorkie Biscuit. Production of Breakaway will cease from March due to declining sales, and the Yorkie Biscuit is also being phased out.
A spokesperson for Nestlé UK & Ireland shared, “Saying goodbye to Breakaway was not easy, but focusing on our top-performing brands allows us to innovate and bring fresh, exciting products to our customers. Although it’s bittersweet to retire Yorkie Biscuit, rest assured we have plenty of new delights coming in 2024.”
Yorkie enthusiasts are encouraged to stay tuned for upcoming releases as the brand evolves.
