After standing empty for two years, the former Simpson’s bar on Sutton Coldfield’s High Street is poised for a fresh start this autumn. Roll The Bones, a new independent craft beer bar, will occupy the space previously operated by Simpson’s, which was a gin bar owned by singer Bradley Simpson and family until its closure in September 2024 after seven years in business.
Currently undergoing refurbishment, Roll The Bones aims to open its doors in September and will offer a variety of craft beers not typically found in supermarkets. The bar promises six regularly rotating draught lines alongside an array of canned and specialty beers, catering to local enthusiasts seeking quality pints.
Although the initial opening target was the August Bank Holiday weekend, the launch has been delayed slightly, with a firm opening date to be announced soon. The upcoming venue has already garnered positive reactions from residents, with many expressing excitement and support on social media.
