Households in Nottingham have a new opportunity to receive £98 energy vouchers as part of the Government’s Household Support Fund, distributed through Nottingham City Council. A total of 1,000 vouchers are available, with applications closing at midnight on Sunday, 11 January 2026.
Residents are encouraged to apply, even if they have previously received an energy voucher this year or are waiting for one from the November 2025 distribution. Successful applicants should expect to receive their vouchers by 28 February 2026. The council advises that questions about the vouchers should be held until after this date, and any changes to the timeline will be communicated promptly.
For those unsuccessful this round, Nottingham City Council will open a second application window from 2 February until midnight on 8 February 2026, offering another chance to apply for both energy and supermarket vouchers.

Nottingham City Council is providing an additional £1.5 million in supermarket and energy vouchers to support residents through the winter months, funded by the Household Support Fund. The application process has been improved to allow more residents to apply and receive assistance. Those needing help with the online application are encouraged to seek aid from family, friends, or local community organizations.
Importantly, vouchers are no longer issued on a first-come, first-served basis, ensuring all applicants have an equal chance if they apply during the designated period. Residents who received vouchers up to November 2025 can apply again, but those who applied in December 2025 cannot, as that was part of the second round of distributions.
