At just nine years old, Jamie-Lee Arrow was forever marked as “the cannibal’s daughter” after her father, Isakin Jonsson, committed a gruesome murder that shocked Sweden.
Jonsson brutally killed his partner, Helle Christensen—a mother of five whom Jamie-Lee had come to see as a stepmother. In one of Sweden’s most horrific crimes, Jonsson slashed Christensen’s throat, beheaded her, and consumed parts of her remains. This chilling act earned him the grim nickname the “Skara cannibal.”
In 2011, Jonsson was found guilty and confined to a psychiatric hospital. But his sentence did nothing to shield Jamie-Lee from his manipulation. She revealed to the Daily Mail how her father exposed her to darkness from an early age, attempting to mold her into a reflection of himself.

“My dad definitely brainwashed me and has done since I was 3 years old,” she said. “He always surrounded me with talk of the devil, demons, and evil spirits. It was a part of my everyday life.”
Jonsson constantly told her, “You are me, you are a better version of me,” preparing her young mind to accept his twisted worldview. This psychological torment culminated in a breakdown when Jamie-Lee was just 18. Thankfully, her mother discovered the abuse, and Jamie-Lee began to rebuild her life, overcoming severe mental illness, PTSD, and addiction.
Now 23 and a mother herself, Jamie-Lee has vowed never to let her father back into her life—for the sake of her two children. Despite this, she courageously reunited with Jonsson after four years apart during a recent Investigation Discovery documentary. Meeting him at his psychiatric facility, she found a man who seemed overwhelmed with emotion, but any hopes for reconciliation quickly vanished.
“After the meeting, he sent me a sick text message threatening me and my family if I ever contacted him again,” she disclosed. “I made up my mind then—he can never, ever be a part of my life again.”
Jamie-Lee’s story is one of survival and strength. While she continues to grieve the father she wishes he could be, she remains focused on protecting her children from his darkness. Participating in the documentary was her way of showing the world the depths of her trauma—and her triumph over it.
“I want people to understand where I came from and how I fought to escape it,” she said. “I still struggle with feeling like I am my own person, separate from my dad and his horrors.”
