Murder Investigation Underway After Man Stabbed to Death in Coventry

A murder investigation has been launched following the fatal stabbing of a man in Coventry.

West Midlands Police were called to Aldrich Avenue in Tile Hill at approximately 4:15 a.m. on Tuesday, November 18. Upon arrival, officers found the 53-year-old victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody as inquiries continue.

A police statement confirmed: “We have arrested a man on suspicion of murder after a stabbing in Coventry. The suspect was detained this afternoon and is currently in custody. Our officers responded to Aldrich Avenue at around 4:15 a.m. The victim was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Our specialist officers are supporting his family during this difficult time, and our thoughts are with them.”

Authorities are maintaining a presence at the scene to carry out ongoing investigations and have stated that there is no one else being sought in connection with this case.

Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam or other footage from the area around the time of the incident to come forward by calling 101 and quoting log 418 of November 18.
