A murder investigation has been launched following the fatal stabbing of a 52-year-old man at Centre MK shopping centre in Milton Keynes. Emergency services received the call at approximately 5:10 pm on Saturday, February 28.
The victim, whose identity has not been officially confirmed, died at the scene. His next of kin have been notified and are receiving support from specially trained family liaison officers from Thames Valley Police. The coroner has also been informed as the formal identification process continues.
A 50-year-old man from Towcester has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody. A scene watch is currently in place at the shopping centre as the investigation progresses.

Chief Superintendent Emma Baillie, the Local Commander for Milton Keynes, stated: “We are in the early stages of this murder investigation. An arrest has been made, and we are not currently seeking additional suspects. There is no known threat to the wider public at this time.”
The police have assured the community that an increased presence of officers will be maintained in the area. They encourage anyone with concerns to approach uniformed officers.
