Multiple Buildings Evacuated in Paris Following Bomb Threats at Key Locations

Several buildings across Paris have been evacuated after bomb threats were received targeting various locations in the city. French media reports reveal that authorities received multiple threatening emails warning of potential explosions at prominent sites throughout the capital, prompting immediate emergency responses including the deployment of sniffer dogs.

One of the most notable sites affected is the Montparnasse Tower, where police have cordoned off the area while security teams conduct thorough sweeps. Residents and visitors have been advised to avoid the 15th Arrondissement, the district housing the skyscraper, as investigations continue. Among other impacted institutions is Sciences Po Paris, a leading academic establishment.

Paris police confirmed an initial threat was reported just before 6 p.m., concerning several possible explosive devices located across different parts of the city. Despite these warnings, the Eiffel Tower remains open to the public, while evacuation procedures are underway at multiple other buildings.

Authorities emphasize that evacuations are preventive, as some facilities requested checks to ensure safety. A police source stated to actu Paris: “As a security measure, some establishments requested evacuation and a verification process.”

Adding to the tense atmosphere, the national headquarters of the far-left France Unbowed (LFI) party was evacuated earlier on Wednesday following a separate bomb threat. Manuel Bompard, the party’s national coordinator, confirmed the evacuations on social media and assured that all employees and activists were safe with police on the scene.

These events come just hours after the arrest of two additional suspects linked to the fatal assault on Quentin Deranque, a far-right political activist, who succumbed to his injuries following an attack last week involving multiple assailants.
