M&S to Close Hundreds of Stores in England for Easter Sunday

Marks & Spencer (M&S) has announced it will close the majority of its full-line stores across England for 24 hours on Easter Sunday. This temporary shutdown affects 229 stores nationwide as part of the retailer’s Easter weekend schedule.

While most locations will remain closed on Easter Sunday, M&S convenience stores throughout the UK and stores in Scotland will continue operating as usual. M&S will keep its doors open on Good Friday, Easter Saturday, and Easter Monday, though opening hours may vary by store. Customers are encouraged to check individual store times using the store locator available on the M&S website.

The temporary closure coincides with M&S making its highly anticipated debut in the U.S. fashion market. Starting this week, M&S has partnered with premium American retailer Nordstrom to bring a curated selection of its bestselling womenswear to 30 Nordstrom stores across the United States.

Marks & Spencer’s reputation for style and value fits perfectly with what our shoppers expect, and we are excited to introduce their bestselling collections to the U.S. audience.”
