Marks & Spencer has announced a significant change to its customer loyalty programme by discontinuing the Delivery Pass service, a move that has left many shoppers disappointed and frustrated. This subscription service, previously offered through the Sparks rewards scheme, provided unlimited next-day delivery for an annual fee of around £25.
M&S, which operates stores across the West Midlands including locations in Solihull and Birmingham, confirmed that the Delivery Pass is no longer available for new customers and will not be renewed for existing subscribers once their current passes expire.
The retailer stated, “As a business, we are constantly reviewing our perks and benefits. This product is currently off sale and not available for renewal while we assess the proposition.” A spokesperson added, “We know lots of customers have enjoyed using it, so I’m sorry the option has now changed, but after careful review, we feel it’s the right decision.”

Shoppers took to social media expressing their disappointment. One X user commented, “Extremely disappointed and surprised considering the volume of online shopping these days.” Another shared, “I am gutted because I used M&S online all the time,” while others described feeling “fuming” over the change. There were also concerns about limited in-store sizes impacting the overall shopping experience.
M&S reassured customers that “some customers still have access to free deliveries when shopping online,” but the removal of the Delivery Pass highlights a shift in the retailer’s approach to online shopping perks.
As of March 2026, no new orders or renewals of the Delivery Pass will be possible, marking the end of a popular benefit that many valued for its convenience and savings.
