M&S Discontinues Beloved Florentyna Classic Floral Eau de Toilette, Shoppers Express Disappointment

Marks & Spencer has confirmed the discontinuation of its popular Florentyna Classic Floral Eau de Toilette, a fragrance cherished by many shoppers who praised it as superior to designer alternatives. The decision has left customers across the UK, including in Birmingham and Solihull, feeling deeply disappointed.

Fans of the scent were dismayed to find the product removed both from M&S stores and online platforms. “That’s my favourite perfume,” one customer lamented, while another shared, “So disappointed that you cannot get anything now in this range.” Some expressed regret over the loss, calling it a “shame” and confessing they now need to find a new fragrance.

An M&S spokesperson addressed the issue, saying: “We continue to listen to customer feedback to evolve our own-brand fragrance ranges. While this product is no longer available, we have an extensive range of incredibly popular fragrances to offer, all at amazing price points.”

The Florentyna Classic Floral Eau de Toilette was known for its stylish packaging refresh and its signature scent profile—top notes of gardenia and jasmine, layered with lily of the valley, orange blossom, and soft musk undertones, as detailed on the Ocado website.

Many shoppers shared fond memories and positive reviews of the product. One wrote, “I managed to get 2 bottles—it’s such a lovely perfume, so refreshing and long-lasting. Hoping M&S bring this one back.” Another noted, “Bought for my wife and it was a hit! She likes it and says it reminds her of Givenchy’s Amarige… a win, win.” A third praised it as a “bargain scent which lasts longer on the skin than my premium brands. Sits pretty on the dressing table.”

Despite the disappointment, M&S continues to offer a variety of fragrance options as they evolve their own-brand collection.
