A new league table has identified the West Midlands secondary schools where almost every student attains top grades in English and maths GCSE exams.
These schools are predominantly selective grammar or prestigious private institutions, known for attracting some of the region’s most academically gifted pupils.
The rankings are based on the percentage of students achieving Grade 5 or above in both English and maths GCSEs during the 2024/25 academic year.

Leading the way are King Edward VI School and Stratford Girls' Grammar School in Warwickshire, where every single pupil secured top grades.
In Birmingham, notable high performers include Sutton Coldfield Grammar School for Girls and King Edward VI Handsworth School, both demonstrating exceptional academic success.
This list provides a clear glimpse into where the brightest young minds in the Midlands are thriving academically.
