The Kings Head, a beloved village pub in Cubbington, Warwickshire, has closed its doors with immediate effect following the sudden death of co-owner Sharon Quinlan. The pub, managed by siblings Wayne and Sharon Quinlan, has been a cornerstone of the community for years.
Earlier this year, after Sharon’s unexpected passing in February, Wayne promised to consider the future of The Kings Head carefully. On Monday, April 20, he confirmed via social media that he would be retiring early and closing the pub permanently.
In a heartfelt message, The Kings Head expressed gratitude to customers and staff: “Owning and running The Kings Head Pub has been a pleasure and a fundamental part of our family. It has been far more than just a place of business – it has been a community filled with friendship and countless cherished memories. We sincerely thank all our customers and staff, past and present, for your loyalty, support, and companionship over the years. You have truly made this pub what it is, and we will always be grateful. Thank you for being part of this journey.”
