Midland Shop Staff Threatened as Thieves Steal Eleven Bottles of Whisky

Police are appealing for information after two men threatened security staff during a theft at a Halesowen shop. The incident occurred on Queensway at around 7pm on Wednesday, February 18, when eleven bottles of whisky were stolen.

Security personnel confronted the suspects after noticing the theft, but were met with threats. Following an investigation and review of CCTV footage, West Midlands Police have released images of two men they wish to identify and question about the incident.

The first man is described as approximately 5ft 10ins tall, with black hair, a full beard and moustache, a lean build, and estimated to be between 28 and 40 years old. The second man is slightly shorter, around 5ft 9ins, also sporting a black beard and moustache, and estimated to be between 25 and 30 years old.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson stated: “Do you recognize these two men? We’re asking for the public’s assistance following threats made to security staff and the theft of eleven bottles of whisky from a store on Queensway, Halesowen, on February 18.

“Anyone who knows the identity of these individuals or has information that could aid our investigation is urged to contact us by calling 101 or using the Live Chat option on our website, quoting crime number 20/152914/26. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.”
