A pub in Midland has issued a firm warning to a visitor caught stealing, urging them not to return. The White Horse, located on Amblecote High Street, started the year by reverting to its former name after previously being known as The Maverick.
The establishment reminded customers about its strict no-drug policy and emphasized respect for the venue following the theft of decorations last month. The stolen items included window decorations inside the ladies’ toilets, meant to enhance the pub’s welcoming atmosphere.
In a social media statement, The White Horse’s management addressed the thief directly: “For the person who has stolen our window decoration in the ladies toilets, please don’t visit the pub again. I put things around the pub to make it look nice and feel welcoming—little decorative touches—not for people to take for themselves. A lot of time and effort goes into my pub daily. Please respect the pub; it’s not only my pub, it’s my home.”

The message continued to set clear boundaries: “If you can’t respect the pub and its contents and feel the need to take things that don’t belong to you, please refrain from visiting us. Also, if anyone enters the pub smelling of illegal substances, you will be asked to leave immediately. I do not tolerate it in my pub, full stop.”
The statement underscored the pub’s commitment to maintaining a safe, respectful community environment: “This is a community pub, not your local where anything goes. I hear and see everything, and I don’t stand for it.”
