Birmingham’s The Arcadian will come alive with vibrant colours and cultural festivities during the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival. The event, taking place over the weekend of Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September 2026, promises to be one of the city’s most expressive and engaging celebrations of the year.
Running from 11am to 4pm on both days, the festival is free to attend and offers a wide range of attractions for families and visitors of all ages. A standout feature this year is a spectacular four-metre illuminated moon suspended above the fountain in The Arcadian, set to create a captivating visual centrepiece.
Attendees can look forward to traditional lion dances, an array of Chinese cultural and community performances, and beautifully crafted lantern decorations throughout the shopping centre. For younger visitors, there will be a variety of arts, crafts and family-friendly activities, alongside complimentary face painting on both days.
The organisers, including the Chinese Festival Committee Birmingham, have indicated that further performances and activities will be announced in the lead-up to the festival, promising an enriching experience that celebrates the spirit of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
