McDonald’s has officially removed six menu items from its UK outlets, concluding its World Cup-themed menu launched earlier this summer. The special promotion, aligned with the tournament hosted across the United States, Mexico, and Canada, featured football-inspired burgers, snacks, and sauces.
Highlights from the World Cup menu included the Mexican Chipotle Chicken burger, the smoky Sweet Carolina BBQ stack, Mozzarella and Gouda Crunchy Bites, the Galaxy McFlurry, and fan-favorite individual pots of Big Mac Sauce.
This limited-time menu concluded on July 13th and has been replaced by a new line-up of drinks, including the Green Apple x Sprite Zero, Strawberry Candyfloss Frappe, and Frozen Strawberry Lemonade.

Meanwhile, World Cup fans’ attention shifts to key semi-final matches: France vs Spain and England vs Argentina. England’s left-back, Nico O’Reilly, expressed excitement about the upcoming challenge of possibly going head-to-head with Lionel Messi, calling it a “once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
“I can’t wait. He’s coming towards the end of his career and is arguably the best player to have ever played the game,” O’Reilly said during a BBC Radio 5 Live interview.
England’s goalkeeper Jordan Pickford also shared thoughts ahead of the game, emphasizing the importance of team effort. “We know how good Messi is, but we must focus on Argentina’s overall strengths and the opportunities we have to exploit their weaknesses,” Pickford commented.
The winner of the semi-final clash between England and Argentina will face the victor of the France vs Spain match. The World Cup final is scheduled for Sunday, July 19th at 8pm at the New York New Jersey Stadium.
