Keye disclosed that their split followed an incident where he downloaded the LGBT app Grindr in a moment of vulnerability. In an emotional Instagram post, Keye explained that his actions were not about seeking intimacy or cheating. Instead, he was in a dark, fragile state and turned to the app as a coping mechanism to escape overwhelming emotions. He acknowledged this was unhealthy and broke the trust between them. Keye expressed deep regret for the pain caused, affirming his love and respect for Davide and describing his commitment to therapy and personal growth since the incident.

Keye wrote: “I wasn’t looking to cheat or find someone else. I was lost and reached for substances because I needed support. I crossed a line and broke trust, and I hate that Davide thought I was looking for another person. That mistake cost me my marriage and it weighs on me every day.”
Davide responded with his own heartfelt statement on Instagram, sharing that his time on MAFS was transformative and that he had prioritized trust and boundaries from the start. Upon suspecting something was wrong, he created a Grindr profile and discovered Keye’s account, which shattered the trust between them beyond repair. Though deeply hurt, Davide said he has healed with time and holds no bitterness, appreciating the lessons learned from the relationship.
He said, “I was shocked and deeply hurt but I’ve found peace. This journey taught me patience, communication, and the importance of choosing yourself after heartbreak. I respect Keye’s accountability and sincerely wish him peace and happiness.”
