Marks & Spencer’s Wellies Praised for Comfort and Style, Now £36

Marks & Spencer shoppers are expressing high praise for a pair of wellington boots described as “perfect for walking my dog in the rain,” priced attractively under £40. These ankle-length wellies come in classic brown and black colours and are currently available online in sizes from 3 to 8, costing £36.

According to M&S, these rubber, waterproof wellies are designed to be “ideal for rainy commutes, muddy walks or errands in the garden.” They include practical features such as an elasticated gusset and a pull tab to make them easier to put on.

For comparison, other brands offer alternatives at different price points. Office sells the Barbour Layla Ankle Welly Boots for £70, which are crafted for durability and everyday comfort. Meanwhile, the Joules Oakfield Neoprene Lined Ankle Wellies are priced at £60 and available in several colours and patterns, including black, cherry, chocolate brown, and leopard print.

The M&S wellies have garnered a strong customer rating of 4.8 stars online. One satisfied buyer said, “These are brilliant! Didn’t really believe the reviews but these are really comfy to walk in and totally keep feet dry. Can’t believe I’m of an age to be an enthusiast about wellies but these are great!”

Caz commented, “Comfy, practical and stylish. Excellent for walking my dog in the rain,” while Meg noted that her daughter is now on her third pair of M&S wellies, which she uses regularly for dog walking.

Another customer shared, “Bought my usual size 5. Comfortable fit with plenty of room for socks. Wore them out walking today for the first time and forgot I had them on. Very pleased. Would be nice to see more colours. Navy, burgundy or khaki for example.”

There were some differing opinions as well. One shopper mentioned difficulty putting the boots on due to high insteps despite appreciating the stylish design and quality craftsmanship.

Lisa also praised the boots as “very comfy and enough room for thicker socks when it gets a bit colder.” She mentioned not having worn them yet but noted they seemed well made, lightweight, and stylish. Her size 5 fit perfectly.

Overall, the consensus highlights the wellies as a comfortable and practical choice for wet weather, particularly popular among dog walkers and those seeking reliable waterproof footwear.
