Andrew Behan, 41, has admitted to the manslaughter of his friend Francis Leitner, 45, following a violent altercation at their house in multiple occupation (HMO) in Aston, Birmingham. The confrontation began over a disputed sum of £40. Behan reportedly went out drinking before returning home and attacking Leitner by headbutting and punching him.
The aggressive encounter led to fatal injuries for Leitner, who was found dead at the scene. Following his conviction, Behan was incarcerated but subsequently died in prison. The circumstances surrounding Behan’s death have yet to be fully disclosed.
