Merseyside Police are investigating the sudden death of a man in his 20s found inside a house on Reedville in Oxton, Wirral. The body was discovered by emergency services late in the afternoon on Saturday, October 3.
The North West Ambulance Service alerted police at about 3:55pm after attending the property and finding the man deceased. Following initial inquiries, the death is being treated as unexpected.
Officers remain at the scene as the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team has been called in to assess and remove certain substances found inside the house. Authorities have assured the public that there is no wider risk at this stage.

Merseyside Police have confirmed that the deceased man’s next of kin has been informed, and a file will be submitted to the Coroner for further investigation.
A police spokesperson said, “Emergency services remain in Oxton today following the sudden death yesterday. The death is being treated as unexpected and investigations continue. The EOD team attended as a precaution and have confirmed no public risk.”
