Four masked youths carried out a robbery in Tamworth, forcibly removing a man from his mountain bike before stealing it. The incident took place around 6pm on Tuesday, 8 September, along a cycle path known locally as Stonydelph Lane.
The victim, a 29-year-old man, was confronted near the A5 underpass in Stonydelph by the group arriving on two black electric motorbikes. All four individuals were dressed entirely in black and wore black balaclavas, concealing their faces.
After forcing the man off his white Specialized-branded mountain bike, one of the youths seized the bike and fled the scene, heading towards Tamworth Services by the M42 motorway in the company of the others on motorbikes. Prior to the robbery, the group had reportedly been seen in Glascote Heath.
