Kevin Gilmore, aged 41, has admitted to six charges of filming underage girls without their consent outside a Birmingham school. The disturbing offences came to light after a witness spotted Gilmore concealing a camera phone among leaves at the bottom of a staircase at Wylde Green Railway Station on August 2, 2023.
The witness reported seeing Gilmore wearing high-visibility clothing and hiding the device on the floor. When confronted, Gilmore acknowledged the phone was his and attempted to recover it, but the witness fled and discarded the device. Police were later informed of another similar incident involving Gilmore on August 27, but he had already left the scene by the time officers arrived.
In November 2023, a police raid on Gilmore’s Sutton Coldfield home uncovered a Samsung mobile phone containing multiple illicit videos. Four of the charges relate to incidents of upskirting outside a Birmingham school on September 11 and 21, 2023.

Gilmore appeared at Birmingham Magistrates' Court on January 8 and pleaded guilty to all six charges of recording images underneath clothing without consent, commonly referred to as upskirting.
Defence attorney Vaughn Whistance requested a pre-sentence report to provide a fuller picture of Gilmore’s background before the court imposes a sentence. Magistrates have postponed sentencing to allow time for this report and released Gilmore on bail ahead of a future hearing.
