Tyriq Bingham, 22, of no fixed address, has been formally charged with attempted murder following a shooting in Wolverhampton last October. The incident occurred on Sunday, October 9, at Peel Street Car Park, where a 19-year-old man sustained serious leg injuries from a gunshot wound.
Emergency services, including police and paramedics, responded to the scene around 3:30 pm. The victim required advanced trauma care before being transported to hospital. West Midlands Police were notified by the ambulance service about an hour later and promptly arrived to secure the area.
A section of the Wolverhampton Ring Road and an underpass between Peel Street and Sainsbury’s were temporarily closed as police launched a thorough investigation into the incident. Nearly five months after the shooting, Tyriq Bingham was arrested on Monday, March 9, in connection with the case.

Bingham faces multiple charges, including attempted murder, firearms possession, robbery, and possession of a class B drug. He has been remanded and is set to appear before magistrates in Wolverhampton on Wednesday, March 11.
