Man Attacked with Substance and Stabbed in Targeted Ferryhill Assault

Two men remain hospitalized after a violent incident in Ferryhill, County Durham, where one was stabbed and the other had an unknown substance thrown in his face. The assault occurred at approximately 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 17, on Parker Terrace.

Durham Police reported that a 49-year-old man sustained eye injuries from the substance, while a 44-year-old companion suffered stab wounds. Both victims received immediate medical treatment and continue to recover in hospital.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, describing it as an isolated, targeted attack involving individuals known to each other. Police have reassured the public that there is no broader threat to community safety.
