A 46-year-old man has appeared at Birmingham Magistrates' Court charged with manslaughter after a fatal attack outside Birmingham New Street station. Rashid Saeed, who has no fixed address, is accused of causing the death of Oswald Fergus, a man in his 50s.
The incident occurred at approximately 6.30am on Saturday, 15 August, when the victim was found with serious injuries on Navigation Street. West Midlands Police promptly sealed off the area to conduct their investigation.
Mr Fergus was taken to hospital but sadly later died from his injuries.

Saeed made a brief first appearance in court on Wednesday, 23 September, where he confirmed his name, date of birth, and address. He was charged with one count of manslaughter.
Following the initial hearing, the case was referred to Birmingham Crown Court. Rashid Saeed is scheduled to appear before a judge on Thursday, 29 October. He remains in police custody pending the next hearing.
