Major UK Bar Chain Point Blank Closes All Locations Following Liquidation

Point Blank, a well-known UK bar chain launched in 2019, has abruptly closed all three of its venues located in Newcastle, Leeds, and Manchester. Famous for its electric atmosphere during live sports screenings, the chain drew crowds eager to watch big fixtures and enjoy its extensive drink menu.

In addition to various cocktails, beers, and wines, Point Blank offered an Americana-inspired food selection featuring tapas, hot dogs, and pizzas, earning it a dedicated following.

The closure came as a shock to many, especially since the chain had recently been promoting special offers for Valentine’s Day. The company announced it had entered liquidation, forcing immediate shutdown of all sites.

Reports indicate that the collapse of the landlord of the Manchester venue, who entered administration, resulted in the loss of the lease there. This event had a significant ripple effect, ultimately impacting the entire business.

In an official statement, the management said, “It is with a heavy heart that we announce Point Blank Shooting has entered liquidation. This situation was completely unforeseen and beyond our control.”

They added that losing the Manchester lease created a serious knock-on effect that left no viable option but to close. The statement also expressed hope for a future return, not a permanent goodbye, and reassured customers with existing bookings that efforts are underway to provide support and clarity.
