Major Police Update Following Two Violent Assaults on Women in Birmingham

A 40-year-old man has been arrested in connection with two separate violent assaults on women in Birmingham.

The first incident occurred on October 26 at approximately 5:15 pm on Moseley Road, where a woman was kicked in the back. The second assault happened on November 6 around 7:30 pm on Stratford Road, with another woman reportedly kicked while walking.

Following investigations and a public appeal on social media, West Midlands Police arrested the man on suspicion of both assaults. He has been conditionally bailed as inquiries continue.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson stated, “A man has been arrested following investigations into the assaults on two women in Birmingham. Our inquiries are ongoing.”

Birmingham Inspector Neil Kirkpatrick thanked the public for their support, saying, “The arrest was made thanks to information from the community. Officers will continue patrolling the areas and encourage anyone with information or concerns to come forward.”
