West Midlands Police have announced a significant breakthrough in the investigation of a fatal hit-and-run incident that claimed the life of Shaun Harron in Birmingham.
The 44-year-old victim was struck by a brown Vauxhall Astra shortly after 12:30 a.m. on April 26 at the intersection of Romsley Road and Adams Hill in Bartley Green. The driver fled the scene, heading toward Jiggins Lane.
Paramedics provided urgent treatment at the scene before Mr. Harron was transported to the hospital, where he later died.

Since the incident, investigators have been conducting door-to-door inquiries and reviewing CCTV footage to identify and locate the driver responsible.
This evening, West Midlands Police confirmed the recovery of a vehicle believed to be involved in the collision. The vehicle is currently undergoing examination to gather further evidence.
A police spokesperson stated, “We have recovered a car suspected to be linked to this incident and are continuing our investigation. We urge anyone with information or relevant footage to come forward.”
Sergeant Rich Evans of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit expressed sincere condolences to Mr. Harron’s family and urged the public to assist the investigation. “Our thoughts are with Shaun’s loved ones during this difficult time.
