‘Let’s Get the Story Straight’ – Moseley Pizzeria Clarifies Flag Row Incident

A Moseley pizzeria has spoken out to clarify misconceptions surrounding a recent flag controversy that sparked tension outside their restaurant.

Earlier this month, the group Raise The Colours displayed flags around Moseley, prompting a heated disagreement outside Amore Pizza Napoletena. A video of the incident circulated online showing a woman voicing her opinions about the flags, which led many to mistakenly believe she was the restaurant owner.

In response to the confusion and subsequent threats of a boycott, Amore Pizza Napoletena issued a clear statement via Instagram to set the record straight. They confirmed that the woman in the video was not affiliated with the business but was a customer expressing her personal views.

The restaurant emphasized their neutrality, stating: “We do not take positions on political matters.” They also expressed concern over the rapid spread of false information and urged the public to verify facts before sharing content that could damage their reputation.

Amore Pizza Napoletena called for respectful dialogue and requested that misinformation cease to prevent harm to their property and community standing.
