Jack Osbourne Welcomes Baby Girl in Heartfelt Tribute to Late Father Ozzy

Jack Osbourne and his wife, Aree, joyously announced the birth of their second child together—a daughter named Ozzy Matilda Osbourne, a heartfelt tribute to Jack’s late father, Ozzy Osbourne. The rock icon passed away in July last year at the age of 76.

Sharing the wonderful news on Instagram, the couple posted a black-and-white photo of their newborn alongside a “Hello world” card, confirming her arrival on Thursday, March 5. Fans and friends quickly flooded the comments with congratulations and well wishes.

In an Instagram Story, 40-year-old Jack expressed his happiness, saying, “She’s arrived and she’s perfect.” The baby’s name honors her grandfather, affectionately known as The Prince of Darkness, preserving his legacy in the Osbourne family.

Ozzy’s death occurred just 17 days after his final concert with Black Sabbath in England, an emotional event that saw Jack and his family travel from Los Angeles to Birmingham. Shortly after Jack’s participation in the reality show I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! last December, he and Aree announced their pregnancy.

Jack and Aree, who married at the San Ysidro Ranch in California in September 2023, are also parents to three-year-old daughter Maple. Jack has three additional daughters from a previous marriage to Lisa Stelly, which ended in 2019.

Reflecting on the pregnancy, Jack shared with The Sun: “We’re super excited. It was sort of planned, I should say. It was maybe a little earlier than expected. But it’s definitely something that we were wanting to pursue and somehow it happened, miraculously.”

Jack got engaged to Aree, an interior designer, in December 2021. He praised her parenting skills and support, saying, “Her step-mom skills make my heart so full.”

The couple’s baby news touched many, receiving an outpouring of love from fans and celebrity friends alike. Jack also revealed how the pregnancy helped him cope with his father’s passing. Speaking to The Sun, he said, “I think it’s been partly a healthy distraction, partly healing—probably in that kind of ‘full cycle’ category, in a weird way. It’s very much taken energy out of the grieving side of things and parked it in a bit more hopefulness.”

The arrival of baby Ozzy Matilda came shortly after Jack reflected on his father’s final weeks, sharing emotional insights during a podcast appearance about the quiet moments following Black Sabbath’s farewell performance and the profound impact of their final conversations.
