A man’s body was discovered outside a residence on Yardley Wood Road in Billesley, Birmingham, shortly after 2pm on Tuesday, February 24. The unsettling discovery prompted a significant police response in the area.
West Midlands Police confirmed they are treating the death as unexplained and are conducting thorough inquiries. The section of Yardley Wood Road near local shops and a doctor’s surgery was cordoned off as forensic officers in protective suits examined the scene.
West Midlands Ambulance Service stated they were aware of the incident but were not called to attend. Pedestrians in the area are currently only permitted to pass with police escorts due to ongoing operations.
