International Day of Birmingham Returns with a Packed Programme of Celebrations

The highly anticipated International Day of Birmingham (IDOB) has returned, offering an exciting array of events that celebrate the vibrant culture of the city. This year, the festivities have expanded to include a bonus second day, running through to Friday, 25 September.

At the heart of the celebrations, ten of the most magnificent rooms in the Grade II-listed Council House have been transformed into a cultural palace, welcoming visitors under the theme “The House That Brum Built.” Attendees can enjoy exploring these historic spaces filled with engaging activities and exhibitions showcasing the city’s diversity and creativity.

Visitors will receive a free, limited-edition Brummie Passport designed by Stacey Barnfield, the artist behind Draw My City. As participants explore the event, they can collect stamps in their passports, which unlock exclusive offers at IDOB supporter Bullring Birmingham. The creative partnership also extends to a special Birmingham’s Colour Palette print, produced by the Colour Palette Company to commemorate this significant day in the city’s calendar.
