Inspirational individuals from across the UK will be honoured at an awards ceremony taking place in Birmingham. The Multicultural INSPIRE Awards is returning for its second year, launching a nationwide search to recognise the extraordinary people who are making a real difference in their communities and beyond.
Following a successful inaugural event that attracted over 700 nominations, 30,000 public votes and welcomed more than 600 guests, the 2027 Multicultural INSPIRE Awards are now open for nominations. The awards invite the public to nominate individuals and organisations whose achievements, dedication and impact deserve recognition on a national platform.
The awards highlight contributions across a range of sectors, including education, business, media and entertainment, sport, health and wellbeing, leadership, equality and diversity, community service and social change. Their aim is to uncover inspirational stories from every corner of the UK.

The 2027 awards ceremony will be held on Saturday 13 February at The Eastside Rooms in Birmingham.
Dr Tru Powell, Founder and Chief of Vibes, commented: “The response to our first awards was incredible. More than the numbers, it was the powerful stories that stayed with me. We discovered individuals doing extraordinary work in businesses, workplaces and communities throughout the country-many of whom had never before been recognised for their efforts.
“That is why we are launching the awards again. Somewhere in the UK, right now, someone is doing something remarkable, and we want to find and celebrate them.”
Previous honourees at the inaugural ceremony included Dame Denise Lewis, Moira Stuart CBE, Angie Le Mar and Dr Beverly Lindsay OBE OD DL, alongside other inspirational winners whose work is driving meaningful change in business and communities nationwide.
Nominations are currently open across 12 public award categories designed to honour inspiration and impact in many forms:
- Outstanding Contribution to Charity & Community
- Inspirational Culture Builder of the Year
- Most Inspirational Entrepreneur of the Year
- Outstanding Contribution to Equality & Diversity
- Outstanding Contribution to Health & Wellbeing
- Outstanding Contribution to Sport
- Outstanding Contribution to Media & Entertainment
- Outstanding Business of the Year
- Outstanding Contribution to Leadership
- Inspirational Young Leader of the Year
- Outstanding Contribution to Education
- Outstanding Contribution to Social Change
Additionally, three honorary awards-the Icon Honorary Award, Inspirational Honorary Award, and Lifetime Achievement Honorary Award-will be announced during the ceremony.
