I Tried the Best Protein Shakes That Keep Selling Out – and One Flavour Wins

In today’s health-conscious world, protein has become a dietary obsession. Speaking as someone who consumes a lot of it daily, we really don’t need protein bread when there are tastier, more convenient options. Since munching steak every day isn’t practical, protein shakes are one of the easiest ways to hit those daily goals.

Gone are the days when protein shakes tasted like a gym changing room. Brands like UFIT have revolutionized the category with on-the-go shakes available at major supermarkets like Sainsbury’s for around £2 each. They come in servings of 25g or 50g protein, making them perfect for busy people who want a quick, nutritious, and tasty drink. Buying direct from UFIT can save you money too—10 shakes for £18, which works out at just £1.80 per drink without the hassle of the shops.

As someone constantly juggling gym sessions and bargain hunting, I was excited to try UFIT’s four flavours: Salted Caramel, White Chocolate, Chocolate, and Strawberry. Here’s how they ranked.

With a sweet tooth that’s hard to satisfy, Salted Caramel immediately stole the show. Every time I pass by a dessert shop, I’m tempted by rich milkshakes, but my fitness goals remind me to stay on track. The Salted Caramel shake offers a guilt-free indulgence, packing 25g of protein in a handy travel-sized bottle. It’s so delicious that I often crave it just like a treat—minus the hefty calories of a traditional milkshake. You could even elevate it by adding some Halo Top ice cream for a decadent, yet protein-packed pleasure without spiking your insulin.

Next up is White Chocolate, a close runner-up. It’s smooth, dessert-like, and feels like a naughty after-dinner treat, yet contains just 158 calories and 11g of sugar. While it didn’t quite inspire the same obsession as Salted Caramel, it remains a delicious, easy-to-drink option. As a fun experiment, freezing Salted Caramel or White Chocolate into protein-packed ice lollies was a refreshing way to enjoy them, especially in summer.

Chocolate protein shakes haven’t always worked for me. Years ago, I tried a popular brand and found the taste unbearable, but UFIT’s Chocolate flavour tastes like a classic chocolate milkshake, making it easy to drink daily without hesitation. Although it didn’t quite match Salted Caramel or White Chocolate in my ranking, it edged out Strawberry for its richer flavour profile.

Lastly, the Strawberry flavour is the least sweet, which might appeal to those who want a lighter, less dessert-like shake. It tastes like a straightforward strawberry milkshake — pleasant but not as thrilling as the others.

Overall, UFIT protein shakes are a delicious and efficient way to consume 25g of protein in just 158 calories. Salted Caramel and White Chocolate are my clear favourites, but all four flavours taste great and make reaching your protein goals a pleasure rather than a chore. With 11g of sugar per shake, limiting yourself to one a day is advisable, but as part of a balanced diet, they’re a tasty protein boost you can look forward to.
