I Tried Morrisons’ New £1 Aisle and It’s Better Than Poundland

Morrisons has launched an exciting new £1 aisle, and I decided to pay a visit to see what it’s all about.

At my local Morrisons superstore, the £1 section took up nearly half an aisle, packed with items I’d usually head to Poundland for. But I was pleasantly surprised—this wasn’t just the usual cleaning supplies and everyday essentials.

Alongside the expected items like bin bags, air fresheners, multi-surface wipes, and cleaning cloths, there were plenty of tempting extras. For just £1, you could pick up wardrobe dehumidifier hanging bags, reed diffusers, stationery, beauty products, and even handy kitchen gadgets.

Here’s a snapshot of what I found in the £1 aisle:

  • Wardrobe dehumidifier hanging bags
  • Air freshener cans and solid gel air fresheners
  • Air fryer liners
  • Kitchen tongs and scissors
  • Fabric freshener sprays
  • Reed scent diffusers
  • Tea towels
  • A4 whiteboards and pen sets
  • Masking tape and parcel tape
  • Manicure and sewing kits
  • Heat patches and waterproof plasters
  • Brushes and hair bands
  • Multi-surface wipes, bin bags, scourer pads
  • Food and freezer bags, foil food cartons
  • Cleaning cloths and toilet cistern blocks

Although the stock was somewhat limited, the fact that everything was genuinely £1 made it stand out. Unlike Poundland, where prices have crept up to £2 and beyond on many items, Morrisons keeps it simple and affordable.

For anyone looking for great-value household essentials and more, Morrisons’ £1 aisle is a brilliant alternative. I’ll definitely be stopping by again.
