A family’s peaceful relationship with their long-time neighbours fell apart after they lodged a formal complaint about a noisy bird deterrent installed in the neighbours’ garden.
The device emitted a persistent high-pitched whining sound that not only disturbed their outdoor space but also woke up their young daughter in the adjoining bedroom. Despite multiple polite requests to reduce the volume or disable the device during early hours, their neighbours refused.
“We couldn’t even open the patio doors or sit in our garden during nice weather,” said the concerned parent. “The noise made it impossible to enjoy our own home.”
