Hit-and-Run Incident in Cannock: Renaults Collide and Driver Flees

A woman was hospitalized after a hit-and-run collision involving two Renault vehicles at a Cannock roundabout on Friday, March 6.

The crash occurred between 3:45 pm and 4:00 pm at the junction where Lichfield Road, Hednesford Road, and Church Street meet. A grey Renault Captur, driven by the injured woman, was struck by a blue Renault Megane. The Megane, reportedly driven by a young man, had been traveling along Hednesford Road before colliding with the Captur and then fleeing the scene without stopping.

Staffordshire Police responded to the incident and confirmed the woman was taken to the hospital’s A&E department for precautionary checks following the collision. Authorities are now appealing for any witnesses or anyone with relevant CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell recordings to assist with their investigation.

A police spokesperson stated: “We are asking anyone who saw the collision or has footage that might help to contact us. Please quote incident number 691 of 6 March when reaching out.”
