Henry Nuttall Ltd, a British company with a 161-year legacy supplying fish and chip shops, has been saved from administration and will continue trading as part of the RGM Leeds Group.
Founded in 1865, Henry Nuttall Ltd has been a trusted name in the fish and chip sector, providing essential equipment to countless shops across the UK. Despite recently entering administration, the company’s future has been secured through its acquisition by RGM Leeds Group.
In a recent statement on social media, Henry Nuttall Ltd assured customers: “Henry Nuttall is now part of the RGM Leeds group, alongside Hopkins. This positive move strengthens our long-term future while allowing us to continue operating under the independent brand you know and trust. For our customers, nothing changes. The same people, products, values, and commitment to service remain firmly in place. Day-to-day operations continue as normal, with added long-term investment and support behind the scenes.”

Originally operating from a small backstreet shop in Rochdale, the company expanded rapidly after World War II as fish and chip shops proliferated throughout the region. Its growing success led to the relocation to Castle Works on Holmes Street, Rochdale, in the late 1930s.
Today, Henry Nuttall Ltd is headquartered in Sheffield, with additional offices and service centres in Bristol. The company continues to serve fish and chip shops nationwide, maintaining its reputation for quality and reliability.
