A widely used hair care product, Beauty Pie Super Healthy Hair Magic Smoothing Heat Shield Spray, has been urgently recalled across the UK due to concerns over a “high microbiological risk.” The recall follows laboratory testing indicating that the product may lose its effectiveness over time, potentially allowing dangerous bacteria to grow.
The UK’s Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) has confirmed that the affected product batch 3094A may harbor Pseudomonas aeruginosa, a harmful microbe that can pose significant health risks, especially to immunocompromised individuals. This discovery means the product does not meet the safety standards outlined in Regulation (EC) 1223/2009.
Beauty Pie Limited, the manufacturer, has initiated a recall of the product batch sold between December 11, 2024, and May 6, 2026. Both direct consumers and retail outlets like Amazon have been notified, and the company is reaching out to customers who purchased the item.

Marketed as a coconut water-based heat protection spray, the product had received enthusiastic reviews from users who praised its scent, lightweight formula, and effectiveness at shielding hair from heat damage. Still, the microbiological risks associated with this batch have prompted immediate action.
Consumers currently in possession of the affected batch are advised to stop use immediately and contact Beauty Pie Limited for further instructions.
